Bringing your number over to Rocket Mobile is simple. Whether you’re moving from another provider to a physical SIM or eSIM, we make sure you can keep using your existing number on your new Rocket Mobile service.
This guide walks you through the steps, timelines, and quick fixes if something goes wrong.
🔑 How the Porting Process Works
1. Submit your request
Request to port your number when signing up.
Make sure your details are accurate, this includes your billing type (Prepaid or Postpaid) and account info (like the SIM card number or ICCID for eSIM).
2. Approval from your old provider
Once submitted, we’ll send the request to your previous provider for approval.
3. Number transfer (2–3 hours)
After approval, the transfer usually takes 2–3 hours.
During this time:
Your old SIM will stop working; that means the transfer is complete.
We’ll send you a confirmation once it’s done.
4. Switch to Rocket Mobile
When your old SIM goes inactive:
Insert your Rocket SIM (or activate your Rocket eSIM).
Restart your phone.
Your old number is now live on Rocket Mobile.
⚡ Troubleshooting
Double-check your details.
Prepaid: confirm the long number printed on the back of your SIM.
eSIM: check the ICCID in your phone settings (iPhone: Settings > General > About). (make sure to drop the last digit)
Correct the info and resubmit.
Request rejected?
If your port is rejected, don’t worry, you’ll get an email with the next steps.
No need to contact support straight away. Just follow the instructions and try again.
📝 Things to Remember
Porting is usually completed within a few hours after approval.
Always restart your device once you switch to your Rocket Mobile SIM or eSIM.
By following these steps, you’ll be up and running with Rocket Mobile in no time, keeping your old number, but on a fresh new network.
